Colloredo di Monte Albano is an ideal starting point to explore Friuli Venezia Giulia: villages, art cities, hills, cycle paths, mountains, and sea are easily reachable from our facility.
Nestled on the morainic hills, a short walk from our facility is fine. Dominating it is the Castle of Colloredo, closely linked to the figure of Ippolito Nievo and the history of his family. From here starts the Road of Castles and Flavors, an itinerary that crosses the Friuli Collinare among manors, villages, and opens onto the hills, vineyards up to our mountains.
Around us, villages, hills, and small centers tell a Friuli made of history, landscapes, and flavors. San Daniele del Friuli, with its famous PDO ham, is easily reachable, a little further you will meet Venzone and, to the east, Cividale del Friuli, with its UNESCO Lombard heritage.
Colloredo and the surrounding hills are ideal to discover both by walking and enjoying the landscape and on two wheels, between secondary roads, dirt paths, woods, and hilly landscapes. Our location is a privileged starting point for lovers of slow tourism and two wheels, being a very short distance from the famous Alpe Adria Cycle Path. For our guests traveling by bike, we provide an internal bike shelter with charging points for e-bikes. Bike rental is possible upon request and subject to availability.
Udine is reachable in about 20 minutes by car and deserves a day between Piazza Libertà, the Castle, the streets of the center and the works of Tiepolo.
From Colloredo you can also easily reach Spilimbergo, known for the art of mosaic, Palmanova with its unmistakable star-shaped plan, and Aquileia, with its extraordinary archaeological heritage.
